HARTFORD COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Anthony Martocci, of Meriden, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal vehicle crash in Hartford County.
Martocci, 38, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Burlington Friday morning.
According to reports, Martocci was operating a Chevrolet Sonic on Route 4 near Route 179 west of Avon, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 6 a.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Fire Protection Testing van operated by 45-year-old Hector Dejesus, of Torrington.
Martocci was pronounced dead fo blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Dejesus was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
