ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Christian Tullis, of Slidell, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal vehicle crash in St. Tammany Parish.
Tullis, 16, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor near Lacombe Friday night.
According to reports, Tullis was operating a Nissan Titan pickup truck on Interstate 12 near LA-434 in Lacombe, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a Freightliner 18-wheeler around 11 p.m. Friday.
Tullis was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The big-rig driver was not injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
