HIDALGO COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — David Gonzalo Franco, of McAllen, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday evening fatal motorcycle crash in Hidalgo County.
Franco, 44, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in McCook Sunday evening.
According to reports, Franco was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on FM-490 near FM-681 in McCook, when the bike exited the roadway in a curve and wrecked around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Franco was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
McCook is a community in Hidalgo County, about 30 miles northwest of McAllen.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
