LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Edgar Vega, of Elkmont, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday afternoon vehicle crash in Limestone County.
Vega, 33, was killed in a single-vehicle pickup truck crash near Athens Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Vega was operating a Ford F-350 pickup truck on Harvest Road in Athens, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and made contact with a substantial tree around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Vega was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
