BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Ethen Devere Edge, of Waterloo, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal motorcycle crash in Black Hawk County.
Edge, 24, was killed in a multi-vehicle motorcycle crash near Evansdale late Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, Edge was operating a motorcycle on Interstate 380 near Mile Marker 69, when the bike came into rear-end contact with a slower moving pickup truck, operated by Corey Simon, of Waterloo. Another pickup truck, operated by Joshua Stiner, of Post Falls, Idaho, then came into rear-end contact with Edge.
Edge was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
