GREENE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Luke Niosi, of Coxsackie, New York, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal motorcycle crash in Greene County.
Niosi, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Hunter Sunday night.
According to reports, Niosi was operating a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on State Route 23A in Hunter, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The bike then came into contact with a guardrail – ejecting the rider.
Niosi was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to Facebook, Niosi attended Siena College in Loudonville from 2016 to 2020.
