DODGE COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Emmitt Harmel, of Fremont, Nebraska, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday morning fatal motorcycle crash in Dodge County.
Harmel, 18, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Fremont early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Harmel was operating a motorcycle on 10th Street near Clarmar Avenue in Fremont, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway around 4:20 a.m. Sunday. The bike then entered a culvert.
Harmel was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
According to Facebook, Harmel attended Fremont High School.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
