FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jason Lynn Hicks of Boones Mill, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday vehicle crash in Franklin County.
Hicks, 44, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Callaway early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Hicks was operating a Chevy Malibu on Wades Gap Road near Dillons Mill Road in Calaway, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into contact with an embankment.
Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
