LA PORTE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Ricquelle Monique Wren, of Michigan City, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday vehicle crash in La Porte County.
Wren, 32, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck near Scipio Township Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Wren was operating a vehicle on the 300 block of State Road 39 in La Porte, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes Wednesday morning. The vehicle then came into contact with a dump truck.
Wren was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The truck driver was transported to an area hospital for upper body injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
