CHASE COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Briana M. Lane, of Hutchinson, Kansas, has been identified as the victim in a vehicle crash Saturday in Chase County.
Lane, 32, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor near Strong City Saturday.
According to reports, Lane was operating a Nissan Altima on US-50 near Strong City, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes on Saturday. The vehicle then made head-on contact with a tractor-trailer.
Lane was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The operator of the big-rig was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
