HUDSON COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Alshaquire Duval, Newark, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting Wednesday night Hudson County.
Duval, 21, was shot dead at a Jersey City park Wednesday night.
According to reports, Duval was found suffering from apparent gunshot wound to the head in the area of Triangle Park Community Center on Old Bergen Road in Greenville, Jersey City, around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Duval was pronounced deceased at the scene of gunshot injuries.
The prosecutor’s office’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating the homicide.
In 2018, Duval charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempted homicide, weapons possession offenses, resisting arrest by fleeing and receiving stolen property. Duval was additionally charged with resisting arrest by physical force.
