NIAGARA COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Trinity Castrechino, of Lockport, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Niagara County.
Castrechino, 21, was killed in a Thursday morning head-on multi-vehicle crash near Newstead.
According to reports, Castrechino was operating a vehicle on Maple Road near Koepsel Road in Newstead, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with another vehicle. A third vehicle, that was unable to slow, also struck the disabled vehicles.
Occupants of the other involved vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Castrechino was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
