LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — Gold medal winning Olympics athlete and reality television star, Caitlyn Jenner, has officially announced plans to run for governor of California.
Jenner, 71, a Republican, has filed paperwork to run on Friday, as Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom faces a recall election.
Jenner has hired several well-known Republican operatives to guide her burgeoning campaign.
