PA 14-Year-Old Claire Miller Suspect In Monday Fatal Stabbing Of Disabled Sister Helen

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Claire Miller, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the suspect accused of fatally stabbing her 19-year-old disabled sister, Helen, while she slept.

Miller, 14, is charged with killing her older sister in her family’s Manheim Township home early Monday morning.

According to reports, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing at a Lancaster home around 1 a.m. Monday, after Claire Miller called 911 to report she had killed her sister. When officers arrived Claire Miller directed police to a bedroom where they found her sister with a stab wound in her neck, police said.

First responders administered lifesaving measures were taken but were unsuccessful.

Police believe the incident happened during the overnight hours when the girls’ parents were asleep. Helen was found with a pillow covering her face. A knife was then found in her neck.

Claire Miller was taken into custody at the scene and is being charged with homicide as an adult.

Homicide is not considered a delinquent act in Pennsylvania.

She was expected to be transported to Lancaster County Prison after arraignment. Anyone charged with homicide in Pennsylvania is not eligible for bail.
