CHARLOTTE, N.C. (THECOUNT) — Aaron Linwood McIntosh, of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash early Wednesday morning in the University City area, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. McIntosh was 32.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Tryon Street and University City Boulevard in Charlotte. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene following reports of a serious collision.
According to officials, McIntosh was involved in the crash under circumstances that remain under investigation. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the events leading up to the incident.
Responding crews confirmed one fatality at the scene. McIntosh was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
No additional injuries have been confirmed, and officials have not released information regarding other parties potentially involved.
