DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Philip Gibbs, of Hermitage, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday night fatal vehicle crash in Davidson County.
Gibbs, 33, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Nashville Wednesday night.
According to reports, Gibb was operating a vehicle in the 3600 block of Old Hickory Road in Hermitage, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Gibb was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
