LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Remy Hidalgo, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, the high school student who was rushed to an Livingston Parish area hospital after collapsing during football practice, has passed away, according to his mother Friday morning.
Ashely Roberson, Hidalgo’s mother, shared the sad news of her son’s death in a Facebook post around 4 am on September 18.
Hidalgo was transported to an area hospital on Tuesday after collapsing near the end of DS football practice, Hidalgo’s family said on Thursday. The teen was in desperate need of a blood transfusion and that his condition had continued to deteriorate.
A cause of death was not provided.
