CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Ethan Skylar Arrowood, of Grover, North Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Friday in Cherokee County.
Arrowood, 27, was struck and killed by a vehicle near Blacksburg Friday.
According to reports, Arrowood was on-foot with another individual in the area of West Cherokee Street in Blacksburg, when Arrowood was struck from behind by a passing vehicle after midnight Friday.
According to the coroner, the men ran out of gas and had exited the vehicle near Piney Knob Drive in Gaffney.
Arrowood was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The other pedestrian suffered unknown injuries.
It is unclear if anyone was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
