WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — Courtney Jones, of Hartford, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim fatally stabbed Thursday night in Washington, DC.

Jones, 54, was found suffering from stab wounds Thursday night in Washington, DC.

According to reports, officials responded to reports of a stabbing the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, S.E. When they arrived, Jones was found injured along with another man inside a standing vehicle.

Jones was pronounced dead of stab wound injuries at the scene.

The second unnamed victim received non-life threatening injuries and was treated on the scene.

Kenneth Wayne Stewart, 54, of no fixed address, was taken into custody and charged with first degree murder while armed.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
