NORTH BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP, NJ. (THECOUNT) — The 20-year-old son of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, was fatally shot and her husband injured in a shooting Sunday at the family’s North Brunswick, New Jersey home.
The deadly incident, which occurred at the North Brunswick residence of Salas, took the life of her son, Daniel. Her husband, defense lawyer, Mark Anderl, was injured.
According to reports, a gunman, posed as a delivery driver, opened fire, killing the young man and injuring Anderl.
Salas was reportedly in the basement at the time of the shooting and was not injured.
Anderl is said to be in an area hospital recovering from surgery.
The suspect was not in custody.
