STEUBEN COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Rocky Ray Rutledge Sr, of Romeoville, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday drowning in Steuben County.
Rutledge, 61, died after an apparent drowning Thursday at Lake James in Angola.
According to reports, Rutledge was swimming after a boat that had gone adrift near a sandbar on Lake James near the beach at Pokagon State Park, when he failed to resurface.
Rutledge was pronounced dead of drowning at the scene.
The cause of the death remains under investigation.
