IROQUOIS COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Marlon Hughes, of Danville, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night fatal single-vehicle crash in Iroquois County.
Hughes, 39, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Woodland on Tuesday night.
According to reports, Hughes was operating a vehicle on CR-1400th North in Woodland, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Tuesday night. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Hughes was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
