EVANGELINE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Kathleen Drew, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night vehicle crash in Evangeline Parish.
Drew, 32, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Mamou Wednesday night.
According to reports, Drew was operating a vehicle on LA-10 near Spring Prairie Road in Mamou, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees and rolled over.
Drew was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
