YAZOO COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Latoya Nash, of Goodman, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle blowout crash near Yazoo County Wednesday night.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Nash was operating a Mercury Grand Marquis on I-55 in Yazoo County, when she apparently experienced a tire blowout. The blowout cause the vehicle to cross centerlines and exit the roadway around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then made contact with a grouping of trees.
Nash, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
