BANNOCK COUNTY, ID. (THECOUNT) — Rebecca Petersen Harper of Eagle, Idaho, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday afternoon fatal crash in Bannock County.
Harper, 45, was killed in a two-vehicle crash that injured five other individuals following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon near Lava Hot Springs.
According to reports, a 68-year-old woman from McCammon was operating a Dodge Durango the wrong-way on Highway 30 near Lava Hot Springs, when the vehicle came into head-on contact with a Ford Edge on Sunday afternoon.
Harper, one of the passengers in the Ford, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
All other involved victims were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash is remains under investigation.
