WORTH COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — The body of missing Mason City, Iowa, boater, Adam Van Syoc, has been recovered Saturday in the Winnebago River.
Van Syoc, 44, was found the Worth County shortly after noon Saturday near the area he went missing on March 27.
According to reports, Van Syoc was traveling as a passenger aboard a fishing boat, when he was struck by a wayward cable. The cable knocked him into the water near the intersection of 342nd Street and Grouse Avenue in rural Worth County.
The unnamed operator of the vessel was uninjured during the incident.
