LAVACA COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Elondre McAfee, of Hallettsville, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Lavaca County early Sunday morning.
“Dre” McAfee, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Yoakum, Texas Sunday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, McAfee was operating a Dodge Challenger on Hwy 77 near County Road 436A, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then entered a culvert, rolled over multiple times and went airborne.
McAfee, who was ejected during the violent crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
According to social media, Mcafee worked as a cook at Pilot Flying J.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
