WINDHAM, ME. (THECOUNT) — Rodney Johnson, of Gorham, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday evening fatal single-vehicle crash in Cumberland County.
Johnson, 55, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Windham on Sunday.
According to Windham Police, Johnson was operating a Honda Accord on River Road near Majestic Heights in Windham, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
A passenger in the vehicle, 60-year-old Richard LaChance, of Standish, was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
