ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Thomas Jeffrey Salb, of Lexington, VA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Rockbridge Monday.
According to police, 70-year-old Salb was operating a motorcycle on a gravel driveway near his home at 59 Blue Grass Trail in Lexington, when he exited the road and crashed down an embankment around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The motorcycle ended up landing on top of Salb, reports WSET.
Salb was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
No further information was provided on the deadly incident.
According to public records, Salb was a longtime area lawyer.
