UNION TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Missing Berks County man, James Simpson, has been found dead on Monday night, according to reports.
Simpson, 35, who was previously reported missing, was found dead on a Union Township trail on Monday night, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say, Simpson was last known to be in the Union Township area near the Thunn Trail in Birdsboro.
Troopers were conducting a search for Simpson when they found him unresponsive on the trail Monday before 10:30 p.m., according to officials.
Simpson was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
State Police say that at this time the death appears to be accidental, but they continue to investigate the incident, reports Local21News.
A cause of death was not provided by officials.
