IN Man Nick Crum ID’d As Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Aurora Monday

DEARBORN COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Adam Crum, of Aurora, Indiana, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed while walking on U.S. 50 near Sycamore Estates Drive on early Monday morning, according to reports.

“Nick” Crum, 31, was on-foot in the middle lanes of U.S. 50 in the area of Walmart on Sycamore Estates Drive, when he was fatally struck by a vehicle in Aurora on Monday around 3 a.m.

According to Indiana State Police, Crum was walking in the middle of the eastbound lanes for an unknown reason – when a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Rodney Beach, 53, of Aurora, struck Crum, reports EagleCountryOnline.

Crum was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Troopers say Beach fully cooperated with arriving officials.

No one was cited at the scene.

Toxicology tests are pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
