CINCINNATI, OH. (THECOUNT) — A man appearing to be a President Trump supporter was detained Thursday outside rally venue U.S. Bank Arena after attacking an elderly protester.
Video of the altercation on the corner of East Pete Rose Way and Broadway, in Cincinnati, was posted to Facebook about 7 p.m. Thursday.
A witness to the incident, who captured the video, said it appeared the two men were arguing about politics.
The video shows one man exiting a Ford truck and punching the other man. It’s unclear from the video what led to the altercation, reports Cincinnati.
Cincinnati police officers responded within seconds and detained the man who had thrown punches.
As he was led away by police, the crowd started chanting: “Lock him up, lock him up.”
The identities of the persons involved was not provided by officials.
