FAYETTEVILLE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Marcus Guion, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim found suffering from fatal gunshot injuries near a busy Fayetteville intersection Friday morning, according to reports.
Guion, 30, was also identified as a suspect in the June murder of 48-year-old Fayetteville man, Michael S. Beale, officials said.
Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of Murchison Road, in Fayetteville early Friday morning after 4:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officials located Guion mortally injured in a wooded area off the side of the roadway.
Guion was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries, according to authorities.
He was considered an “armed and dangerous” suspect in a June 26 murder in the 2100 block of Henry Street, reports CBS17.
Guion was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a deadly weapon, and felony conspiracy in connection with the June murder of Beale.
There are currently no suspects in Guion’s murder and police said that they have not developed any leads at this time that indicate his murder is connected to Beale’s murder.
