TOPEKA, KS. (THECOUNT) — Joaquin Aj McKinney, of Topeka, Kansas, has been identified as the victim fatally shot in southeast Topeka Thursday afternoon, according to reports.
McKinney, 16, was found suffering from at least one gunshot injury near SE 37th St. and Pennsylvania Ave, in Topeka on Thursday around 4 p.m.
McKinney was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Police have not released many details about a potential suspect. Witnesses did tell them that the shooter fled the scene in a blue sedan, reports WIBW.
