MASON COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Douglas Fleischfresser, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim killed in motorcycle accident in Michigan Saturday.

Fleischfresser, 58, died Saturday afternoon while operating a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle on U.S. 10, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s office.

According to reports, Fleischfresser was attempting to make a U-turn when he was broadsided by a 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup truck.

He was traveling near Scottville with a group of fellow riders. He apparently intended to turn north on U.S. 31.

Fleischfresser missed the turn and pulled onto the shoulder edge before attempting a U-turn. At that point, the motorcycle was struck by the pickup driven by a Fennville woman, police said.

Police said the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to MLive.

Fleischfresser was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
