PARADISE, CA. (THECOUNT) — A pair of looters witnessed being arrested by California law enforcement on the scene of the devastating Camp Fire, were wearing official U.S. Forest Service jackets. No word on if the men were Forest Service officials or impersonators.
Action News Now reporter, Mario Montalvo, released a video shot in Paradise depicting two men under arrest for looting while donning official U.S. Forest Service jackets.
You can see that the two men appear to be wearing similar jackets to U.S. Forest Service personnel. Action News Now heard that they may have been wearing those jackets to impersonate Forest Service personnel in order to gain access to the area. source
Sheriff Kory Honea issued a statement earlier today stating that looting charges will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
