TOLEDO, OH. (THECOUNT) — Martrece Dobson has been identified as the victim found suffering from gunshot wounds Wednesday afternoon in Toledo, OH.
Dobson, 30, was found fatally shot at the corner of Oakland Street & Franklin Avenue, in Toledo, OH, on Wednesday. Police arrested Rashad Gaines and charged him with murder.
The call came in before 4 p.m. when a man was shot at the corner of east Oakland Street and Franklin Avenue. Officers say the found Dobson at the scene suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead on gunshot wounds consistent with the incident.
One witness who chose to remain anonymous said once she heard the shots fired, she ran towards the victim to try and help.
“I didn’t want him to be in that state by himself and I just said a prayer and told him just to hold on and keep talking as much as he could,” said the anonymous witness. source

Dobson was arrested in 2012 on two counts of murder in the death of Justin Smith. He was not indicted for the murder.
