OMAHA, NE. (THECOUNT) – Police have identified Tanya Leffler as the woman shot in the neck Sunday near the B&T Convenient & Liquor store, which is located at Florence Blvd & Miami St, in north Omaha, NE.
Officials say, Leffler, 36, was critically injured in a shooting Sunday. A motive is still being sought. Police believe the female victim was not targeted by the gunman, but they did not elaborate.
Leffler was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Her current condition was not immediately updated.
Officers do not believe Leffler was a target for the shooting. Leffler was driving a silver Dodge Caravan when the shots were fired. Police believe the suspect fled east on foot. source
Police said surveillance video captured a possible suspect “hanging outside the store and fleeing on foot,” following the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
