FL Man ID’d In Saturday Fatal Cantonment Shooting – Suspect Released From Custody

CANTONMENT, FL. (THECOUNT) — The suspect taken in custody over a fatal Cantonment shooting Saturday, has been released, according to Escambia County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Douglas Curtis Lloyd, 30, was named as the man found suffering from at least one gunshot wound near Old Chemstrand Road, in Cantonment, FL., around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Douglas Curtis Lloyd, the sheriff’s office said. source

Investigators initially said they had the suspected gunman in custody. A spokesperson later stated that person has been released.

Deputies have not released any possible motive in the incident.

Anyone with information on the fatal shooting are urged to contact police at 911.
