SALINE COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — State prosecutors announced Wednesday that they are seeking the death penalty for Bailey Boswell, the man accused in the death and dismemberment of his Tinder date, Sydney Loofe.
Aubrey Trail and Boswell are both charged with first-degree murder in the death of Loofe, 24, and both were ordered held without bond.
According to investigators, security camera video from a Lincoln Home Depot showed Trail and Boswell purchasing tools that they later used to dismember Loofe hours before she was last seen leaving her job at a Menards in North Lincoln on Nov. 15, 2017.
At the time she went missing in November, Loofe sent an image of herself before going on a date, she was never seen alive again. When police pinged her cellphone, it showed that the device was in the Wilbur area. source
Investigators said Loofe’s remains were found in several garbage bags east of Clay Center, Nebraska, three weeks after her disappearance.
