KALISPELL, MT. (THECOUNT) — Alex Nicole Beltran, the Whitefish woman reported missing for over two weeks, has been found dead.
Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says the body of Beltran, 23, of Whitefish was recovered from a pond at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Beltran has been missing since July 16th after leaving a friend’s home on the west side of Kalispell. Sheriff Curry says a resident on the west side of Kalispell reported finding what he believed was a vehicle in a pond on his property. Divers from the Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a vehicle was submerged in the pond, which was very murky and had zero visibility. source
Once the vehicle was removed from the water Beltran’s body was found inside.
Sheriff Curry says it appears that the vehicle went down the driveway, across a lawn, and into the water.
Beltran’s body will be transported to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula so that an autopsy can be performed.
The death remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the case may contact police at 911.
