ELIZABETHON, TN. (THECOUNT) — David Desgro of Elizabethon, has been identified as the victim of a Thursday afternoon motorcycle crash on Mary Patton Highway in Elizabethton.
Desgro, 58, was traveling on Upper Gap Creek Road when he turned onto the highway and into the path of a semi-truck.
The collision caused the truck to ignite into flames, a patrolman told reports.

The driver of the truck and a passenger were reportedly uninjured in the collision.
Desgro was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
