NASHVILLE, TN. (THECOUNT) — Former Bowling Green KY Police Department officer, Andrew Long Ryan, has been charged with making threats against President Trump.
Ryan, 37, of Greenbrier, TN., has been charged with two counts of making threats against President Trump. Ryan previously worked with the Bowling Green Police Department.
Court records state on May 28 and May 29, Ryan posted several messages on social media making the threats. These include a Facebook post that stated “death is coming” and a Twitter post stating “I will kill Donald Trump if you don’t follow my leaders lead.” source
The president was in Nashville during a rally in support on May 29th.
Ryan is accused of placing his family in fear during previous incidents and was on the radar of the FBI and Secret Service.
Police seized several firearms from Ryan’s home in February.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says “several law enforcement officers expressed concern that Ryan’s behavior would escalate into an act of mass violence.”
Ryan faces five years in prison for each count.
