As if Lamar Odom doesn’t have enough to worry about with his marital problems, alleged drug problems and being an NBA player without a team, he was sued by a paparazzo on Tuesday.
The NBA player is accused of assaulting Stefan Saad on July 10 after the photographer approached him and asked, “Did you cheat on Khloe?”
According to court documents obtained by RumorFix, Odom got out of his vehicle and grabbed a large metal rod that he used to hit Saad’s car — then he grabbed his camera and smashed it in the middle of the street.
Saad claims Odom drove off with his smashed equipment, which Saad called “the tools of the trade,” and then Odom re-smashed the gear on Hollywood Boulevard “in a display that can only be understood as having the intention to humiliate Mr. Saad.”
Saad claims he now suffers from panic disorder.
The L.A. City Attorney’s Office decided not to press criminal charges, so Saad went through with the civil lawsuit.
He’s asking for attorney fees, $15,000 to replace his equipment, at least $50,000 to account for lost work and at least $500,000 to account for emotional stress and undefined punitive damages.
