Thursday night’s American Idol garnered a lousy 11 million viewers equaling a 2.9 rating while opposing Big Bang Theory (a rerun..) received a bigger audience, even in the key adult demos. A Big Bang encore at 8 p.m. had 11.2 million viewers and a 3.0 rating, and the 9 p.m. edition had 10.8 million viewers and a 3.2 rating.
