In its first new episode in almost a month, “Saturday Night Live” featured Alec Baldwin in a twofold monstrosity of topical drama, first in the show’s frosty open, depicting President Donald Trump as he ordinarily does, then later repeating the part in a portray where he additionally played Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
“S.N.L.,” which was hosted this week by the comedian Louis C.K., began with Mr. Baldwin as Trump, addressing a roomful of perplexed supporters in Union, Ky. “We all love Trump don’t we?” he told the crowd. “We do, we do. I just had an amazing week, folks. I met with leaders from China, Egypt and Jordan. Gorsuch was confirmed and the media is saying nice things and no one is talking about Russia. Well, what a difference just 59 Tomahawk missiles can make.”
Fielding a question from a supporter who said he had lost his coal-mining job, Mr. Baldwin answered, “As president, I promise, I’m going to do everything I can to make sure you people work in coal for the rest of your lives. I loved Lyle Kessler’s play and was anxious to work with director Dan Sullivan. Then Shia LaBeouf showed up. I’d heard from other people that he was potentially very difficult to work with, but I always ignore that because people say the same thing about me. When he showed up, he seemed like a lot of young actors today—scattered, as he was coming from making six movies in a row or whatever.
There was friction between us from the beginning. LaBeouf seems to carry with him, to put it mildly, a jailhouse mentality wherever he goes. When he came to rehearsal, he was told it was important to memorize his lines. He took that to heart and learned all his lines in advance, even emailing me videos in which he read aloud his lines from the entire play. Continue reading
Alec Baldwin says his daughter Ireland has yet to meet her new sibling, Carmen..
Alec, 50, and his wife Hilaria, gave birth a baby girl three weeks ago and the couple hasn’t had the opportunity to introduce the tyke to her older sibling.. Partly because Ireland hasn’t shown up, yet. Ireland is from Alec’s previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Speaking with David Letterman, Alec said of his daughter Ireland not yet making the effort to come meet her new baby sister, “It’s weird, you know?”
In the story, Cameron opens up about her father’s death during the filming. He was just 58 when he succumbed, quite suddenly, to pneumonia. She had only a short time off from filming to grieve and said that it took a huge emotional toll on her, but she was comforted by her close relationship with the cast and crew.
