AR Man Keundra ‘Drae’ Allen ID’d As Victim In Thursday Fatal Bentonville Stabbing Anthony Ballett Arrested

BENTONVILLE, AR. (THECOUNT) — Keundra Allen of Little Rock, AR, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday stabbing near Bentonville, according to Friday morning reports.

“Drae” Allen, 24, was killed after being stabbed multiple times near downtown Bentonville Thursday morning.

Monroe, Louisiana man, Anthony Ballett, 39, was arrested after he fled the scene of the fatal stabbing

Police responded to a call of a stabbing around 9 a.m. in the area of 502 S.E. B St, in Bentonville, according to the release.

When officials arrives, Allen was found suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Ballett was arrested after a traffic stop on Highway 43 between Maysville and Cherokee City, according to Sgt. Gene Page with the Bentonville Police Department. Maysville and Cherokee City are in Benton County near the Arkansas-Oklahoma state line.

The investigation is ongoing, according to Bentonville police.

Benton County Prosecutor Nathan Smith said a bond hearing for Ballett will be at 1:30 p.m. today before Circuit Judge Brad Karren, reports NWAOnline.

AR Woman Katrina Dunnick ID’d As Victim In Triple-Fatal Thursday Bryant Crash

BRYANT, AR. (THECOUNT) — Katrina Nicole Dunnick of Little Rock, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim killed along with a boy and a girl, in a tragic Thanksgivings evening crash near Bryant, according to reports. The youths have not been identified.

Dunnick, 39, was traveling in a vehicle with two other individuals that had for unknown reasons stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 30 near the Reynolds Road exit. When the vehicle attempted to merge back onto the roadway, it was struck from behind by a big-rig Thursday after 5 p.m., according to a state police preliminary crash summary.

State police said all three of the injured people were transported from the scene to area hospitals in critical condition Thursday evening, it was later revealed by officials that they all had perished.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, from Michigan, was injured as well, reports ArkansasOnline. His current condition was not provided.

It was raining at the time of the crash.

No further information was available as of Saturday morning.

AR Woman Texts Late Father For 4 Years Floored When She Finally Gets An Answer

NEWPORT, AR. (THECOUNT) — Chastity Dejuna Patterson of Newport, Arkansas, lost her father four years ago, and ever since she’s been keeping his memory alive through texting his number nightly, updating him on how her day went.

When Patterson, 23, texted her father’s number on 4th anniversary of his death this year, she got a reply:

“Hi sweetheart, I am not your father, but I have been getting all your messages for the past 4 years,” replied Brad, a man who lost his daughter in 2014.

On Thursday, October 25, the day before the fourth anniversary of her father’s death, she recounted her year, reports KENS.

“Hey Dad it’s ME,” Patterson said. “Tomorrow is going to be a tough day again.”

She talked about how she beat cancer and how she hadn’t gotten sick since her father’s passing. “I promised you I would take better care of myself!” She recapped how she graduated college with honors, fell in love and got her heartbroken, but she made it through a stronger woman.

This year, she got a reply.

“Hi sweetheart, I am not your father, but I have been getting all your messages for the past 4 years,” the message read.

He introduced himself as Brad and told Patterson how he lost his daughter in a car wreck in 2014. “Your messages have kept me alive.”

“I’m sorry you lost someone so close to you, but I have listened to you over the years,” Brad continued.

“You are an extraordinary woman and I wish my daughter would have become the woman you are.”

Patterson posted the conversation to Facebook, her caption saying she can now let her father rest.

The post has over 100,000 shares and counting.

WI Woman Amanda Woods ID’d As Friday Madison Homicide Victim ‘Sharp Force Trauma’

MADISON, WI. (THECOUNT) — Amanda J. Woods, of Madison, WI, has been identified as homicide victim found on the on the east side of Madison early Friday morning.

Woods, 30, died from “homicidal sharp force-related trauma” at about 4:16 a.m., according to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A forensic autopsy was completed at the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday. Additional testing is underway at this time, reports NBC15.

The death remains under investigation by the City of Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police have yet to name any persons of interest or suspects.

Missing MO Woman Sylvia Ussery-Pearson Found Dead Hours After Husband Shot Dead By KC Police

KANSAS CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Missing Overland Park woman, Sylvia Ussery-Pearson, was found dead Tuesday evening in Benton County, Arkansas, hours after her husband, Charles Pearson, walked into a hotel near the Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kansas, and said he had killed her, according to KSHB.

Police reported Ussery-Pearson, 49, missing Tuesday morning. She was last seen Monday morning leaving her home willingly, but she did not return.

Overland Park police said the woman’s phone last pinged in Cass County, Missouri, which led several agencies to conduct a search in the area on Tuesday afternoon.

The search was called off after police found a note in 51-year-old Pearson’s Lenexa home that indicated where her body might be found.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office and FBI conducted the search in Arkansas, where her body was found.

Pearson, who was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle was reportedly on his way to Legends Outlets on Village West Parkway, after killing his wife.

Kansas City, Kansas police shot and killed Pearson who they say was heavily armed Tuesday morning. Police say he shot at them after telling a hotel manager he had killed his wife and was headed to Legends Outlets.

Pearson’s wife, Sylvia Ann Ussery-Pearson, was reported missing on Tuesday morning. So far there’s no official confirmation that she’s dead, despite Charles Pearson making that claim, reports FOX2NOW.

Police said when officers encountered the suspect, he was armed with an AR-15 rifle.

KCK police are conducting their investigation around the vehicle the suspect was driving.

There was a lot of chaos in the busy area when police arrived. A Cerner employee told FOX4 the KCK location was on lockdown due to the police activity in the area, but it was lifted. The Legends Shopping Center was also on high alert, but police said the suspect was never actually at the Legends.

NC Teacher Madison Moore Fatally Shoots Herself At Kannapolis Ruby Tuesday’s Saturday Night

KANNAPOLIS, NC. (THECOUNT) — Madison Moore, of Landis, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim of a accidental shooting at a Kannapolis Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant on Saturday night.

Moore, 28, accidentally shot herself at a Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant, located at, 2461 Wonder Drive Northeast, in Kannapolis, NC, on Saturday night.

Police say their initial investigation revealed Moore appeared to have fatally shot herself a single time in the stomach.

She was transported to Atrium Carolinas Medical Center Northeast, where she died of her injuries, reports MyFox8.

CPD said the gun appears to be legally owned by Moore, however, the investigation is ongoing.

Former AR State Senator Linda Collins-Smith Found Shot Dead In Pocahontas Home

POCAHONTAS, AR. (THECOUNT) — Former Republican state Sen. Linda Collins-Smith was found shot dead inside her Pocahontas, Arkansas home on Tuesday, according to local reports.

Authorities say they are investigating after the former 57-year-old state senator was found apparently shot to death and wrapped in a blanket, Tuesday night.

The body of Collins-Smith was in her home in Pocahontas, Arkansas, according to her former press secretary Ken Yang, WesternJournal reports Wednesday.

Yang said that the death was being investigated as a homicide.

Other reports said that Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell said investigators are treating the death as suspicious. They are “waiting for the state crime lab to confirm the identity and the cause of death,” the station reported.

Neighbors had reportedly heard gunshots either one or two days before Collins-Smith was found dead, Yang told KATV.

The former legislator’s body was wrapped in a blanket when it was discovered, KATV reported.

A report in the Arkansas Times said the body of Collins-Smith was “decomposed” when it was discovered. The report said that made determining her identity difficult.

Collins-Smith represented the 19th district from 2015 until she left office this year after losing a primary in May 2018. She had originally been a Democrat, making the switch to the GOP in 2011.
