Amanda Knox, 25, says it’s ‘painful’ discovering this morning that she will be re-tried over the 2007 killing of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher… SO! I thought this mess was done and over!
Knox has already spent four years of her young life in the slammer, then she was freed in 2011, but now, Italy’s highest court has overturned the acquittal and ordered the case retried…
Amanda was returned to America and now lives in Seattle, Wa., and Italian would LOVE to get their meat hooks into her again but even the law cannot compel her to return for the re-running of her appeal, however, if convicted this time around, Italian officials could seek extradition.

In a statement, Miss Knox said: ‘It was painful to receive the news that the Italian Supreme Court decided to send my case back for revision when the prosecution’s theory of my involvement in Meredith’s murder has been repeatedly revealed to be completely unfounded and unfair.’
