TX Teen Pvt. Isabella Gonzales ID’d Among Troops Killed In Jordan During Iranian Attack

FORT BRAGG, NC. (THECOUNT)1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, were identified Monday by the U.S. Department of Defense as two active-duty Soldiers killed in Jordan while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Military officials said the pair died while defending against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks.

Fort Bragg is located near Fayetteville in southeastern North Carolina and serves as one of the U.S. Army’s largest military installations. The announcement was made as military officials continued releasing information regarding casualties connected to operations in the Middle East.

According to the Department of Defense, Feehan was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command at Fort Bragg.

Military officials said Gonzales was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command based in Ansbach, Germany.

The Defense Department stated that both Soldiers were serving in support of Operation Inherent Resolve at the time of the attack.

Officials said the service members were killed in Jordan while helping defend against incoming Iranian ballistic missiles and drone attacks.

Feehan, a Hawaii native, served with the Army’s air defense forces at Fort Bragg, where units are responsible for detecting, tracking, and defending against aerial threats.

Gonzales, a Texas native, was assigned to an air defense artillery unit operating under the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command in Europe.

The Department of Defense did not immediately release additional details regarding the specific circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Military officials have continued to provide updates as casualty information becomes available and next-of-kin notifications are completed.

The deaths of Feehan and Gonzales mark two of the fatalities reported during the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

According to U.S. military officials, the total number of American military deaths connected to the war with Iran has reached 17.

Additional information regarding memorial services, honors, and military funeral arrangements was not immediately released.

The Department of Defense continues to provide updates regarding operations and casualties in the region.
