Another woman, Debra Rojas, alleged she was 12 years old when Chavez began abusing her, according to the report. The report also included statements from United Farm Workers co-founder Dolores Huerta, who alleged Chavez assaulted her. In a public statement, Huerta described two encounters in which she said she felt pressured or forced, resulting in pregnancies. She stated she did not previously come forward out of concern for the impact on the labor movement.

The publication noted that some allegations were not independently verified, including Huerta’s account, but stated that she described the events in detail. The investigation reportedly included interviews with more than 60 individuals, including former union members, aides, and associates.
